Sound files made available without respective authorization of right owners

The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry [Hong Kong Group] (IFPI HKG) is the Hong Kong national group of the IFPI which represents the recording industry worldwide with over 1,400 members in 70 countries and affiliated industry associations in 48 countries. As part of our work, we monitor the Internet, and take action against any person who uses music in a manner that infringes rights in sound recordings.
These sound files are derived from commercially published sound recordings created and owned by our Member Companies. IFPI HKG wishes to inform you, through this letter, of the legal rules involved in this. Uploading protected sound recordings and making these sound files available via the Internet requires the permission of the appropriate right owners. Doing this without such permission constitutes an infringement of our members rights. Providing instant and direct access to the sound files via the above-mentioned deep links may also constitute an infringement of our members rights.
IFPI HKG understands that these deep links may be offered by a third person using your facilities. In this regard we would also like to inform you that the participation in a copyright infringement performed by a third person may be subject to civil and/or criminal remedies.
We hereby urge you to take prompt and effective steps to cease and, at the latest within 24 hours, prevent the reproduction, distribution and/or making available of file(s) from the URL(s). IFPI HKG will be checking that the above-mentioned activity has ceased.
