A faulty thermometer with uniform scale reads 10C and 90C when placed in melting ice and steam over boiling water respectively. What should be the true temperature if the thermometer reads 40C?

以邏輯慨念去思考....
會得出50C係個答案
by logic pondered,
Will work out 50 degree this answer

人唔識你唔識...你用英文黎話唔識!!
melting ice = 0.1degrees or above
over boiling water = 100degrees
child common sense
base on it,

true thermometer 0degrees to 100degrees =100-0 =100dscale
faulty thermometer 10degrees to 900degrees =90-10 =80scale
=100/80 =1.25
.'. 1 scale of faulty thermometer =1.25 scale of true thermometer
.'. 40 X 1.25 =50 scale in true thermometer and = 50'C
It just a primary mathematics using question(文字題),can't construe that to be a scientific question
